After my world win tour of Dubai, I get on the plane to Calicut (closets airport to the hospital). The plane was 90% men. It was a little scary at first, but I got over it. Apparently many men from Kerala to go Dubai for work (without families) and fly back regularly to visit their families. Kerala is a state located in the south of India (flights 2 hrs to Bombay and 4.5 hrs to Delhi).
I arrive at the airport and everyone knows AVS. They have a prepaid counter for taxi's to the center. I had to use the bathroom and had a rude awakening when there was no toilet paper, just water for a refreshing experience. ;) I got into a car where the windows didn't work and there was breeze coming through from the floor of the car. I was too tired to notice anything else. Arrived at 9pm at the center and was shown my room. It was quite sizeable and very clean. There was even wifi. These all exceeded my expectations.
